Dakar hosted the 2025 WFADS World Cup

The capital of the Republic of Senegal became the world center of Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll and Acro Swing for almost one week. The first ever 2025 WFADS Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll World Cup and the 2025 WFADS Acro Swing World Cup were held in Africa under the auspices of the World Federation of Acrobatic Dances and Dance Sports. 

Couples from 20 countries arrived in Dakar to show their best performance. 

Three days before the World Cup local and international couples took part in the Training camp. Dancers got the opportunity to improve their skill under the guidance of the world top specialists in Rock’n’Roll, Acro Swing and Breaking. 

The World Cup in Dakar being a bright media event gathered the local media for a big press conference attended by WFADS President Oumy Sene, WFADS Vice-president for Education Igor Vinkovic and Head Global Expansion Jasmeet K. Shan. 

The key sport event of the week, the 2025 WFADS World Cup, crowned the days of training in Dakar. Sixty four couples representing 20 countries arrived on March 8 at the Dakar Arena to win the title. 

Acro Swing – the fusion of Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll and swing dances. Eighteen couples competed in the 2025 WFADS Acro Swing World Cup. 
Seven couples from six countries entered the final. Ivan Kudriashov and Olga Kudriashova from Russia, acting Acro Swing World Champions, took the World Cup in Dakar. Kevin Sauvageot and Sandy Courtois from France won the silver medals. Representatives of the host country, Senegal, Robert Diouf and Clarisse Lea Sagna became the bronze medalists.

2025 WFADS Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll World Cup was held in “B” class Adults discipline. Seventeen couples started their way to the podium. Seven best couples continued in the final. 

Ilia Shikov and Zhasmin Singkh from Russia became the winners. Teo Funaric and Lana Vidakovic from Croatia took the second place on the podium. Hungarians Peter Forro and Petra Anna Fekete won the bronze medals.

No doubt, the first ever WFADS World Cup in Dakar appeared to be a real success, organised with respect and deep love to all participants. 

The World Federation of Acrobatic Dance and Dance Sports congratulates the champions and the prize-winners, all dancers, coaches and judges who joined the event.

We would like to invite all dancers to Lima (Republic of Peru), the next city to host the 2025 WFADS Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll World Cup and 2025 WFADS Acro Swing World Cup.
